Transport
Art transportation is an art in itself. Kortmann strictly adheres to specific safety and precautionary measures, both prior to and during transport. We have special vehicles equipped with the latest technology to meet these requirements. Our vehicles maintain optimal temperature, minimize vibrations, and have an advanced alarm system. Of course, the technical aspects are not the only things that matter. We employ qualified art handlers who give each object the attention it needs during loading and unloading. If desired, our art handlers can also pack and unpack your objects for you, and/or install them. You can be assured that our art handlers will ensure that your art arrives safely at its destination.
All our vehicles are equipped with:

- Seat for one courier
- Track-and-Trace (Tracking system)
Customs
You can also rely on us for transport outside the EU. Kortmann has been audited and certified by customs as an ‘Authorized Economic Operator’ (AEO). This certification means that we have the knowledge and permits necessary to arrange all customs formalities for you. We handle import and export declarations, temporary storage with VAT exemption, transit transport between customs locations, and the handling and application of an ATA CARNET. We can also assist you in applying for a permit for the transport of cultural goods or CITES.
